Summer Camps in Denver

Learn About Our Summer Camps

Summer Camps

We offer two, fun and intensive half-day therapy camps during July and August for school age students.

We work with students who have developmental disabilities with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum, Down’s Syndrome, sensory processing, attention deficit, a learning or intellectual disability or multiple or unique diagnosis. For our summer camp program we group kids based more on language and cognitive ability than age. Our traditional school year programs are more closely matched by age.

2018 Summer Camp Schedule -

Session 1: July 23-27, 2018 9:00am-1:00pm
Session 2: Aug. 6-10, 2018 9:00am-1:00pm

About Summer Camps at Beyond Classroom Walls

Each day students will venture out for a fun and goal-directed community outing. Prior to leaving, students will work with one another to make lunch. This is a good opportunity to address communication, requesting, social skills, behavior and other important language and cognitive skills. We do accommodate dietary needs and work with communication devices.
After lunch is made, we review the day’s event, what to expect, appropriate behaviors, role play the communication needed and off we go. Our summer camp outings include activities such as:

Swimming ~ Candy Factory Tour  ~ Heritage Amusement Park Golfing ~ Aurora Reservoir

Animal Farm ~ Bowling ~ Denver Zoo ~ Denver Nature and Science Museum  ~ Water Park

Just to name a few…
